Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is a free strategy game for mobile devices developed by Tilting Point. It's a tactical monster-hunting battle adventure featuring themes from the popular monster movie characters, Titans Godzilla and King Kong. Players are thrust into an unexplored island home to creatures brought about by said Titans.
Similar to Godzilla: Strike Zone and Godzilla - Smash3, Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers lets players experience the expansive Godzilla story in a different and more engaging way. The gameplay also features a multiplayer aspect that lets them work together to take down enemy monsters.
World of monsters
Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers takes place on the shores of Siren Isles home to a new ecosystem borne out of The Rise of the Titans. You play as a titular Titan Chaser and you're tasked with venturing into this dangerous territory, dealing with any monster that comes your way, and finding a way to establish a fortified post in this new landscape.
Build your team of skilled Chasers with unique abilities to help you fight against a new breed of Superspecies, including creatures like Mother Longlegs, Skullcrawlers, and many others. Capture, tame, and study these creatures and have them help you on your quest. Engage in tactical turn-based combat employing various RPG mechanics that let you plan and adapt to all kinds of situations and encounters.
Build a stronghold wherein you can train your team who will help you expand your territory to other locations. Be wary of some hostile factions and form alliances with others to work together against the monster threat. All that said, the experience of playing this game can get quite grindy after some time. Also, it suffers from game balance issues that will frustrate a lot of players.
Flawed in places
All in all, Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers will please fans of the franchise as it's another way to immerse themselves in the MonsterVerse. While the game combat and base-building elements are nice, the experience does tend to feel a bit tedious and things don't fare any better with balance issues. Hopefully, these concerns will be addressed as soon as possible.
